Governor Holcomb Orders Flags Flown at Half-Staff
In Honor of Fallen IMPD Officer Breann Leath

INDIANAPOLIS – Governor Eric J. Holcomb is directing that flags be flown at half-staff across the State of Indiana on Sunday, January 23, 2023, in honor of fallen Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Officer Breann Leath.
Officer Leath was killed in the line of duty on Monday, January 9, 2023, while responding to a domestic disturbance call on the city's east side. She leaves behind a husband and three children.
"Officer Leath's sacrifice is a reminder of the dangers that our law enforcement officers face every day," said Governor Holcomb. "She was a dedicated public servant who put the safety of others before her own. Her loss is a tragedy, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues."
Flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, January 23, 2023.
