Family Man Behind the Bench: Meet Craig Berube, the Blues' Winning Coach

From Flying to Coaching

Craig Berube, the head coach who guided the St. Louis Blues to a historic Stanley Cup victory, is much more than a bench boss. Off the ice, he's a dedicated family man with a deep connection to his loved ones.

A Close-Knit Family

Berube shares a close bond with his wife, Mary, and their three children: sons Jake and Nashota, and daughter Charlotte. The couple has been married for over three decades and their family is a source of strength and support for the coach.

From Philadelphia to St. Louis

Before his success with the Blues, Berube served as head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers for two seasons. His coaching journey began as an assistant coach with the Flyers in 2006-07, and he later worked with the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins before returning to Philadelphia.

A Return to Glory in St. Louis

Berube joined the Blues in 2018 and quickly turned the struggling team into a championship contender. His leadership and tactical acumen were instrumental in the Blues' remarkable turnaround, culminating in their 2019 Stanley Cup victory. As the Blues return to St. Louis after their latest triumph, Berube's family will be waiting to celebrate another unforgettable chapter in his coaching career.
